How can land be purchased and not have Permanent, legal access to it... Strange.
Iv been looking into a resolution for awhile now, asking authorities. No one seems to be able to assist, so This page shares and tracks my progress. created march 5/2017.

Theirs at least 3 ways into this property...
- purchase property from said land owner for 15k, then request cN rail to build an approach to cross the railroad tracks (10-40k it sounds like)
- use the undeveloped county road which runs north to south and is 0.86 miles long over low land / grassy bog. Then travel west .5 mile over crown land, which has small 10 foot spruce and is also low. so far, roads cannot be built on crown land, and trees cannot be cut unless you have a firewood permit. (easy to get + plus their is a need for firewood).
- use the undeveloped county road which runs north to south and is 0.86 miles long over low land / grassy bog. then travel west .5 mile over crown grazing lease, which is clear of trees mostly. this is the best route, but involves the lease holder to allow access, which is unlikely.

As the property is a 10 min drive to town, with the majority gravel road, I have been looking into making a quad or dunebuggy (enclosed cab) roadworthy for winter travels. For summer, you could use a bike/dirtbike or continue using the quad. Also a person could park a regular vehicle nearby and walk to it. lots of neighbors to strike a deal!

Lieutenant Governor in Council: The position of the Lieutenant Governor is apolitical. This means that the Lieutenant Governor does not get involved in any political activity, intervene in day-to-day issues and decisions made by Alberta government ministries, or advocate for groups or individuals seeking to change government policy.
The term "Lieutenant Governor in Council" appears in many government documents, such as acts of legislation. Legally, it refers to the Lieutenant Governor acting on and with the advice of the Executive Council or Cabinet. When the Cabinet makes a decision and it has been approved by the Lieutenant Governor, it is said to have been made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
People wanting the "Lieutenant Governor in Council" to act upon their behalf should instead refer their request to the appropriate Government of Alberta ministry. If you have already tried to resolve the problem with the Government directly, you may wish to consult the Office of the Ombudsman of Alberta. If you chose to write the Lieutenant Governor, Her Honour will forward your letter to the appropriate Minister of the Crown for his or her attention and response.
